PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring instrument which has a wide distance search range and is highly accurate.SOLUTION: The distance measuring instrument includes a first projector (103) including a first light source and a first lattice to form a stripe having a long period on a target objet, a second projector (105) including a second light source and a second lattice to form a stripe having a short period on the target object, an imaging part (101), a control part (107), and a data processing part (109). The first light source is a light source arranged at a first interval and in a first direction, the first lattice is arranged between the first light source and the target object to have a first lattice pitch in the first direction, the second light source is a light source arranged at a second interval and in a second direction, the second lattice is arranged between the second light source and the target object to have a second lattice pitch in the second direction, the long period is determined from the distance search range of the target object, and the short period is determined from distance measurement accuracy. |
