PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring device capable of highly accurately measuring a blood pressure value.SOLUTION: A CPU 18 detects the pressure of a cuff 30 put on a measured part of a living body, during a period in which the compression pressure to the measured part is changed, by the cuff 30, and detects the compression pressure and a pulse wave using the detected pressure of the cuff 30. The CPU 18 calculates a difference between a peak value of the detected pulse wave and a pressure at the point of time when the peak value on a straight line connecting a rising point of the pulse wave and the rising point of the next pulse wave is obtained, as an amplitude value of the pulse wave. The CPU 18 calculates a pulse rate on the basis of the detected pulse wave, and calculates, for each detected pulse wave, a speed change amount which is a difference between the change speed of the compression pressure in the generation period of the pertinent pulse wave and the change speed of the compression pressure in the generation period of the pulse wave which is the one before the pertinent pulse wave. The CPU 18 corrects the calculated amplitude value of the pulse wave on the basis of the speed change amount and the pulse rate, and utilizes the amplitude value of the pulse wave after the correction to determine a blood pressure value. |
