PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that gives a coating material with improved flexibility and a water vapor barrier property in a high temperature and is excellent in moldability; and to provide a power transmission cable comprising the resin composition.SOLUTION: A resin composition comprises combining (C) a radical generator into a mixture of (A) a non-crystalline alicyclic structure-containing polymer and (B) a copolymer of ethylene and a 6C or more α-olefin in which a melt flow rate is at most 10 g/min. The resin composition is made by: mixing 0.05-1 pt.wt of the (C) component with 100 pts.wt of a mixture in which a weight ratio of the (A) component to the (B) component is 60/40 to 10/90; and then subjecting the resultant product to a thermal treatment. Preferably, an MFR of the (B) component is at most 10 g/10 min. More preferably, the α-olefin is 1-octene; and the (C) component is an organic peroxide.
