PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump for an engine, improvable in productivity by reducing working man-hours and a number of parts.SOLUTION: A rotating shaft 11 with an impeller 10 mounted to one end and with a pulley 12 mounted to the another end is rotatably supported by a bearing 13, and an impeller chamber 9 and the bearing 13 are partitioned by a seal member 19. A boss hole 21 for an upper side bolt penetrates an upper side mounting boss part 20, and a boss hole 23 for a lower side bolt penetrates a lower side mounting boss part 22. A space part 25 for steam and condensate to flow in is formed between the bearing 13 and the seal member 19, and a steam release hole 26 is formed to allow steam to flow out to the boss hole 21 for the upper side bolt from the space part 25. A steam release passage 27 for discharging steam to the outside is opened to the boss hole 21 for the upper side bolt. A water drain hole 29 is formed to allow the condensate to flow out to the boss hole 23 for the lower side bolt from the space part 25, and a water drain passage 30 for discharging the condensate to the outside is opened to the boss hole 23 for the lower side bolt. |
