PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a person from falling between a platform and a vehicle body by narrowing a gap between an outside surface of a railroad car and an end face of the platform, without depending upon an entrance position.SOLUTION: A vehicle body (101) of a railroad car is installed on a carriage (102) via an actuator (103) which is moved horizontally with respect to the traveling direction. When the railroad car stops at a platform (106), a controller (104) controls the actuator (103) to bring the vehicle body (101) close to the platform (106) so as to minimize a gap between the side surface of the vehicle body (101) and the end face of the platform (106), on the basis of information about the gap therebetween. |
