PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "information playback device and fast-forward/fast-rewind playback method" in which playback definition of fast-forward/fast-rewind playback of playback target information which is recorded while being divided, can be improved and reduction of power consumption and improvement of a product lifetime can be attained.SOLUTION: In fast-forward/fast-rewind playback by fast-forward/fast-rewind playback means 5, if determination means 11 determines that a next playback target region is divided into a plurality of divided regions, determination means 12 determines a divided region having dominant information from among the plurality of divided regions constituting such a next playback target region. Control means 14 controls search means 5 and the playback means 5, thereby performing a search limited to the divided region having the dominant information, and playing back the corresponding information. |
