PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of easily optimizing compression conditions when a subject is compressed and held at the time of measuring a photoacoustic wave.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device having a plurality of members which compress and hold a subject for generating characteristic information in the subject based on an acoustic wave transmitted from the subject irradiated with light includes: a means for acquiring a first compression condition which is a reference value at the time of compressing the subject; a means for acquiring a second compression condition for representing a state in which the subject is compressed by the plurality of members; and an output means for outputting the information based on the first compression condition and the second compression condition. |
