PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear shift indicator capable of optimizing the execution timing of shift indication.SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle mounted with an electrical continuously-variable transmission mechanism having a sequential shift mode, in the case that a current gear position and a recommended gear position are different, the larger a difference between the current gear position and the recommended gear position (determination result at step ST23 is YES), the shorter a delay time for indicating a shift is set when indicating the shift to a driver. By this, while preventing the driver from feeing troublesome (extension of the delay time by counter reset at a step ST24) because the shift is indicated frequently in the case that the difference is smaller, a fuel consumption ratio is improved by preventing the continuation of traveling in a situation that the fuel consumption ratio cannot be improved sufficiently (shortening of the delay time caused by the non-execution of the counter reset) in the case that the difference is large. |
