PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD which reduces power consumption when frame rate conversion is used in order to improve frame picture quality and solve a motion blur of the LCD, thereby reducing heat to be generated by the LCD.SOLUTION: In an LCD, whether to perform polarity conversion to each of a plurality of frames is determined. When the frames are displayed, the conversion frequency of the polarity of the frame is smaller than an update frequency of the frame in a unit time. For example, when 120 pieces of frames are displayed per second, the polarity of a liquid crystal cell is converted to original frames 410 and 420, and not converted to an interpolated frame 410A. When 240 pieces of frames are displayed per second, the polarity of the crystal cell is converted to the original frames 410 and 420, and not converted to interpolated frames 410B, 410C, and 410D. |
