摘要 PURPOSE: An abnormality recognizing method about a multi-channel asynchronous sensor and a steering safety device which adopts the method thereof are provided to improve accuracy/reliability of the sensor by accurately recognizing an abnormality of the multi-channel asynchronous method sensor. CONSTITUTION: An abnormality recognizing method about a multi-channel asynchronous sensor comprises the following steps. A receive unit receives an asynchronous signal about a location information through at least 2 channels from the sensor. A virtual synchronization about the signal of each channel is performed base on the premise in which the change of the signal from the physical input during the sampling cycle of the receive unit is liner change. A synchronization error (sync. error) between the signals of each channel is detected based on the virtual synchronization. The synchronization error is compared with the predetermined synchronization limiting value (sync. limit). A steering safety device comprises: a sensor which senses the position of the steering wheel; a signal processing unit which receives and processes the asynchronous signal about the location information through at least 2 channels from the sensor.
