PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit which displays a high quality image while reducing a data writing period in one frame period, and a driving method of the display unit.SOLUTION: A driving method of a display unit comprising a display section formed by arranging in a matrix form pixels each of which including a display element performing gradation display on the basis of a video signal includes: a simultaneous writing step for performing signal writing by simultaneously starting signal writing within one frame period for pixels belonging to continuous n (n is an integer of 2 or more) rows; and a sequential writing step for performing signal writing row-sequentially within the one frame period for pixels belonging to rows other than the continuous n rows. |
