PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, capable of improving a low-heat-generating property and fracture characteristic while maintaining satisfactory adhesive performance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a tire includes: at least one selected from natural rubber and diene-based synthetic rubber; and carbon black (A) treated with an amphoteric compound having acidic and basic functional groups.
