PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that can simply and efficiently sterilize a treating space, and to provide an operation method of the air conditioner.SOLUTION: An air conditioner A includes a microplasma generator 5 and an adjuster D for adjusting a humidified condition for sterilization in a treating space C. The microplasma generator 5 is disposed in an upper stream side of a heat exchanger 2 in a flow passage of air sent by an air blower 4. Further, there is provided an operation unit for sterilization to activate the microplasma generator 5 under the sterilization condition, after a cooling operation or a dehumidifying operation, as an air conditioning operation to a heat exchanger 2, is stopped. |
