PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing local heating of a belt after completion of printing operation.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a rotatable endless fixing belt 21; an opposite rotating body 22 that contacts the fixing belt 21 to form a nip part N; and a heat source 23 that locally and directly heats the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21 from the vicinity thereof with radiation heat. The fixing device is configured such that a fixing belt 21 is suppressed from being locally heated by heated air around the heat source 23 while the fixing belt 21 is in a resting state after the heat source 23 stops heating. |
