A gaming device provides one or more different types of symbol evaluations based on the amount wagered by a player in a game. In one embodiment, the gaming device includes a plurality of different types of symbol evaluation, each type of symbol evaluation associated with a different wager amount. If the player wagers a first wager amount to cause a play of the game, the gaming device provides a first type of symbol evaluation.
