The rope has a middle layer formed by a first set of wires (12) and a second set of wires (14). A number of the first and second set of wires is equal to a number of a third set of wires (13). An outer layer is formed by a fourth set of wires (15). The fourth set of wires comprises an inner surface (151) turned towards a central wire (11) and a smooth outer surface (152) turned away from the central wire. The first-, second-, third and fourth wires are twisted around the central wire, where a curvature of the outer surface is smaller than that of the inner surface.
