PURPOSE: A near-field multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna array, a method for estimating the channel characteristic of near-field MIMO communications using the same, a system thereof and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to have an effect to easily calculate the channel capacity of the communications by generating an orthogonal polarization signal so that an electric dipole and a magnetic dipole mutually meet at right angle. CONSTITUTION: A first antenna element is composed of an electric dipole. A second antenna element has a different origin from the electric dipole, and is composed of a magnetic dipole capable of being arranged in an arbitrary direction with an arbitrary interval. Near-field MIMO communications are performed through the first and second antenna elements. The size of the electric dipole is set to be determined within the range that the signal intensity in TM10 mode among signals generated from the electric dipole is larger than a pre-set level. The size of the magnetic dipole is set to be determined within the range that the signal intensity in TE10 mode among signals generated from the magnetic dipole is larger than a pre-set level.
