PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating machine and a coating method for easily holding coating intervals to fixed intervals.SOLUTION: A coating machine 1 which includes a spray gun body 3, and which is used in the case of carrying out spray coating to a surface Wa to be coated is configured such that the surface Wa to be coated is irradiated with visible two laser beams La and Lc, and that the laser beams La and Lc intersect at a position separated from the spray gun body 3 only by a predetermined set distance L. The coating machine 1 is characterized by including: a coating distance confirmation part 11 for performing the notification of a deviation between a coating distance from the spray gun body 3 to the surface Wa to be coated and the set distance L in accordance with the presence/absence of the deviation of an irradiation point with the two laser beams La and Lc; and a moving distance confirmation part 13 for irradiating the surface Wa to be coated with the visible laser beam Lb intersecting the surface Wa to be coated at a position separated from an intersection Xa of the two laser beams La and Lc by a predetermined distance. |
