PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a flattened pipe which can utilize a mold with a simple structure and perform molding with a high production efficiency.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a flattened pipe includes: a punching step of punching a flat plate-like work plate to form a pair of vertical crosspieces, a workpiece, and a coupling crosspiece including a vertical crosspiece coupling part, a workpiece coupling part and a separation part for connecting the vertical crosspiece coupling part and the workpiece coupling part while being separated from the vertical crosspieces, so that the vertical crosspieces and the workpiece are coupled to each other; a U-shape bending step of bending a center part of the workpiece and the separation part in a direction perpendicular to the vertical crosspieces and causing one side surface coupled to the workpiece coupling part and the other side surface uncoupled to the workpiece coupling part of the workpiece to stand up; and a posture transforming step of transforming postures of the workpiece and the separation part so as to restore only the one side surface and the separation part which have been bent in the U-shape bending step to former states thereof before being bent in the U-shape bending step. |
