PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tetrahaloterphenyl derivative having excellent oxidation resistance, allowing semiconductor active phase formation by a coating method, and serving as a precursor compound of a heteroacene derivative.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a tetrahaloterphenyl derivative represented by formula, the tetrahaloterphenyl derivative is produced by reacting a tetrahalobenzen represented by 1,4-dibromo-2,5-diiodobenzene with a 2-haloarylmetal reagent represented by 2-bromophenylboronic acid in the presence of a palladium and/or nickel catalyst. |
