The method involves introducing water in addition to fibrous raw materials in a rotor of a container (11) such that a circulation flow is partially produced by fluid jets (1) that are directed into the container. The fluid jets are partially formed by compressed-air jets and water jets such as dilution water jets and high-pressure water jets, which emerge from corresponding fluid jet nozzles (2, 6) with a pressure range about 80 bar, preferably above 100 bar. Additional restrictor bodies (7, 8) are arranged in form of vertical flow barriers inside the container. An independent claim is also included for a pulper.
