The exhaust manifold has an insert component (12) made of a metallic material and a cast component made of another metallic material to positively surround the insert component. A section of the insert component projecting from the cast component has an exhaust tract-sided connection geometry for coupling, particularly by welding, on an exhaust system component, particularly a turbine housing. The former metallic material is iron, or iron alloy, particularly steel, where latter metallic material is aluminum or an aluminum alloy. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an exhaust manifold.
