PURPOSE: Mutant alginase is provided to have higher decomposition ability than a wild type and to depolymerize or remove alginic acid. CONSTITUTION: A nucleic acid sequence encodes alginase. An expression vector contains the nucleic acid sequence. A prokaryotic cell contains the expression vector. A method for preparing mutant alginase comprises the step of culturing the prokaryotic cell. A pharmaceutical composition contains the mutant alginase as an active ingredient.
