PURPOSE: A detachable handle for cooking containers is provided to rotate a rotary shaft in one way direction as a rack member is moved forwards and backwards by a pinion gear of the rotary shaft and a pawl unit of a switch button is hung on a ratchet gear of a rack member. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal plate (21) of a gripping member (20) is connected to a rack member (30) and the gripping member is operated by the rack member in a detachable handle for cooking containers. A rack gear (31) is formed in one surface of a long hole (32) formed in a longitudinal direction of the rack member. The rack gear is engaged with a pinion gear (46) formed in a rotary shaft (45) of a lever (40). The lever is rotatably mounted on a handle housing (10) and a first spring (60) is connected to the rear end of the rack member. A switch button (50) is mounted in a lower case (16) of the handle housing. A ratchet gear (33) is formed in one surface of the rack member in parallel with the rack gear. The rotary shaft rotates in one way direction by the lever as a pawl unit of the switch button is hung on the ratchet gear. The rotary shaft is prevented from reversely rotating as the pawl unit of the switch button locks the ratchet gear of the rack member.
