<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate rolling mill and a method of controlling the same, by which a waveform such as a swell, a full wave and a ripple which is penetrated in the plate width and also a camber shape in the nose part and the tail end part of a rolled metal plate are more improved. <P>SOLUTION: In a plate rolling mill which has a pair of upper and lower work rolls, a pair of motors 5, 6 for driving the pair of the work rolls respectively and independently, a motor 6 on one side of which is a motor for controlling the rotational speed of the roll and a motor 5 on the other side of which is a motor for controlling driving torque, and a controlling means for controlling the motor 5 for controlling the driving torque by taking the driving torque as a controlled variable, the target value for controlling the driving torque of the motor 5 for controlling the driving torque is determined by multiplying the total value of the upper and the lower of the set values or the measured values of upper and lower rolling torques by a coefficient α which shows the ratio of upper rolling torque to lower rolling torque, while the motor 5 for controlling the driving torque is controlled on the basis of the target value for controlling the driving torque and the coefficient α is changed during rolling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
