PURPOSE: A digital receiver and a content processing method thereof are provided to support an effective personal video recorder (PVR) function for a 3D stream for implementing full resolutions for eyes in the digital receiver. CONSTITUTION: When a playback mode is 3D, the upload module of a digital receiver executes packet identifier (PID) filtering (S302, S306). The upload module deducts an index file from an index and file database (DB) and determines a location within a storage unit of data corresponding to the 3D based on the deducted index file (S308). After the data is uploaded, a system decoder or de-multiplexer and a video decoder decode the uploaded 3D data (S310-S316). A formatter executes the 3D formatting of the 3D data (S318).
