PURPOSE: A side mirror for preventing a blind spot is provided to reduce the costs because an additional auxiliary mirror for securing a blind spot is not required and enable an inexperienced driver to safely drive a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A side mirror for preventing a blind spot comprises a base (30), a rotary member (40), a spring (70), an eccentric cam (80), a gear box (60), and a drive unit. The spring is coupled between the other end of the rotary member and the base and elastically supports the rotary member. The eccentric cam is rotated when the eccentric cam touches the rotary member and rotates the rotary member. The gear box has a rotary shaft coupled to the eccentric cam through a shaft. The drive unit rotates the eccentric cam and has a motor (55) powered according to the operation of a turn signal. |
