摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission purifying method and an exhaust emission purifying system capable of promptly warming-up immediately after start-up of an internal combustion engine, preventing unburnt hydrocarbon from flowing away toward downstream side, and further performing efficient PM recovery processing or regeneration processing of the exhaust emission purifying apparatus in post-warming-up stage, in an exhaust emission purifying system provided with an exhaust emission purifying apparatus for an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission purifying system comprises a bypass passage 5 that branches off on an upstream side of an exhaust emission purifying apparatus 4 and merges there again, in an exhaust passage 3 of an internal combustion engine, a hydrocarbon adsorption apparatus 6 that adsorbs unburnt hydrocarbon at low temperatures arranged in the bypass passage 5, and a combustor 8 that causes rise in temperature of an exhaust gas G flowing through the exhaust passage 3 by burning fuel f in the exhaust passage 3 on the upstream side of the branch area of the bypass passage 5, performs control of the combustor 8 and opening/closing control of the bypass passage 5, based on temperatures of the hydrocarbon adsorption apparatus 6 and temperatures of the exhaust emission purifying apparatus 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
