The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating diabetes or diabetic complications. More specifically, a recombinant high-density lipoprotein comprising the apolipoprotein mutant V156K in which the amino acid at position 156 of an apolipoprotein (apoA-I) is substituted with lysine, is remarkable in the inhibition of advanced glycation end-products (AGE) formation, insulin secretion and oxidative stress resistance and is excellent in the proteaction or regeneration of biological tissue so as to be effective for preventing or treating diabetes or diabetic complications, and thus would be applied to various fields as a pharmaceutical composition, a dietary supplement composition, or the like. |
