PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus capable of easily releasing error caused by the processing of a job, and rapidly performing the processing of the job being in the error. SOLUTION: A storage part 7 stores processing countermeasure data for which processing countermeasure corresponding to content of the error occurring in a process to print image data formed from a printing job is set in advance. A discrimination part 13 detects the occurrence of the error, and discriminates whether the printing job is to be processed by the apparatus itself or other apparatus corresponding to the detected error based on the processing countermeasure data. A control part 15 controls the processing by the apparatus itself of the printing job related to the detected error when discriminating that the printing job is to be processed by the apparatus itself, and controls to output the printing job to other apparatus when discriminating that it is to be processed by other apparatus.
