PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic that exhibits effects of ameliorating or repairing damages of a damaged hair and imparts gloss and smoothness to the hair. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (1) 0.01-2 mass% of hydroxyethylurea, (2) 0.001-0.5 mass% of a copolymer comprising a constituting unit corresponding to a cationic vinyl monomer (A) of a specific structure and a constituting unit corresponding to a nonionic vinyl monomer (B) of a specific structure, where the ratio of the constituting unit corresponding to the cationic vinyl monomer (A) is 25-45 mol% and the ratio of the constituting unit corresponding to the nonionic vinyl monomer (B) is 75-55 mol%, each based on all constituting units constituting the copolymer, and (3) 0.001-2 mass% of a vegetable oil.
