摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination of a primary containment vessel (PCV) housing a forced circulation furnace, and a hybrid safety system that combines a dynamic safety system and a static safety system. SOLUTION: The hybrid safety system 58 is held in the primary containment vessel 5 so that the upper end side opening of a vent pipe 24 is provided, projecting upward from a diaphragm floor 55 which is the top part of a pressure suppression chamber 21, while the upper end of a core 12 is arranged so as to be located below the diaphragm floor 55. In the hybrid safety system 58, at the occurrence of a reactor loss-of-coolant accident, the dynamic safety system and the static safety system are combined and immerse a reactor pressure vessel 11; and thereafter, cooling of the core 12 can be continued, with only the static safety system.
