The cooking device has a housing (1), in which a drawer (2) is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner, in which a cooking food carrier (9) is attached, where a heatable or heated plate is arranged in the housing above the cooking food carrier and is movable in vertical direction. The plate is movable with the drawer in a synchronous manner. A releasable coupling is formed between the drawer and the plate and is formed as a magnetic coupling. The plate is guided in the housing in longitudinally displaceable and height adjustable manner.
