The fastening plane partitions the furrow cutter into two regions, and a transmission is arranged in one region in a transmission housing (14) to rotatably drive the blade. The blade has an arm (30) with a free end (52) and projecting away from the fastening region. The arm has an inner segment (40) extending out of the fastening plane into the other region, and an outer segment (41) in which the arm runs back in direction of the fastening plane.</p>
