PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a porous PTFE hollow fiber membrane is provided to suppress the rise of manufacturing costs and to improve the porosity of the PTFE hollow fiber membrane. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a porous PTFE hollow fiber membrane comprises: a step (S1) of preparing paste by mixing PTFE powder, a liquid lubricant, and water soluble salt; a step (S2) of preliminarily molding the paste in a hollow fiber shape by compressing the paste; a step (S3) of extruding the preliminarily molded hollow fiber; a step (S4) of removing the liquid lubricant by heating the extruded hollow fiber; a (S5) of forming a pore in the hollow fiber by extending the hollow fiber; a step (S6) of plasticizing the extended hollow fiber; and a step (S7) of forming a pore to the hollow fiber by eluting the water soluble salt.
