PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device for a gable side baseboard mounting the gable side baseboard on the gable side end of a scaffolding board on an upper face of work stage simply and easily. SOLUTION: When mounting the gable side baseboard A on the gable side end of the scaffolding board of the work stage S at the elevated temporary stage forming the work stage S by stretching a plurality of scaffolding boards 3 between beam frames 2 and 2, the gable side baseboard A is composed of a baseboard body 4, a plurality of arms 5 erected on the outside face side of the baseboard body 4 to protrude on an outside, being freely extensible and contractible in the vertical direction, and energized always in the direction of extension with a spring 9, and a receiving fitting 6 provided at an upper end and a hook member 7 provided at the lower end of each arm 5. A handrail 23 is temporarily installed on the beam frames 2 along the outer peripheral edges of the work stage S, the receiving fitting 6 is fitted into the horizontal member 22 of the handrail 23 while each arm 5 is contracted, and the hook member 7 is engaged with the beam frames 2 along the outer peripheral edges of the work stage S to mount and fix the baseboard body 4 on the gable side end of the scaffolding board.
