PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker in which the pressure within a pot is not lowered down to a neighborhood of atmospheric pressure even if the same is lowered during boiling, and boiling is carried out with the lowering of temperature suppressed within a boiling pot accompanying lowering. SOLUTION: In the rice cooker including: an internal pressure adjusting device PV<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for adjusting the internal pressure within the boiling pan; and a control device for controlling a heating means and the internal pressure adjusting device and performing a boiling step, wherein the control device pressurizes the inside of the boiling pot 20 with exceeding the atmospheric pressure during an boiling maintaining step, the internal pressure adjusting device PV<SB POS="POST">1</SB>has a first pressure regulating valve 25 having blocking holding pressure for blocking holding the inside of the boiling pot 20 at a pressure exceeding the atmospheric pressure, and a first pressure regulating valve blocking lock mechanism 38 performing blocking locking in the condition that the first pressure regulating valve 25 is not open when the pressure within the boiling pot 20 goes up beyond blocking holding pressure, the control device brings the first pressure regulating valve 25 into a blocking lock state in the boiling maintaining step, and intermittently releases the blocking lock of the first pressure regulating valve 25 once or more by the unit of predetermined unit time by the first pressure regulating valve blocking lock mechanism 38 after pressurizing the inside of the boiling pot 20 to a pressure exceeding the blocking holding pressure.
