<p>The method involves providing a data memory that is accessible for a diagnostic program (DS) of a diagnosis platform (ES), on an objective platform (ZP), which is provided as a programmable controller of an industrial automation arrangement. A value of variable or state information of a running program (P) of the objective platform is saved in the data memory when reaching a checking point. Contents of the data memory are set with a current value of the variable or current state information when reaching another checking point for detection of a fulfillment of a release condition. An independent claim is also included for a debugging system.</p> |
