<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protease having a high hydrolytic activity for type IV collagen. <P>SOLUTION: The trypsin-like enzyme has the hydrolytic activity for the type IV collagen, type I collagen and gelatin and preferably has following properties: (1) having the optimum reaction pH of pH8.0-9.0; (2) having the optimum reaction temperature of 50°C in the absence of calcium ion, and 55°C in the presence of the calcium ion; (3) having the heat stability of 35°C as 90% thermal inactivating temperature in the absence of calcium ion, and 50°C in the presence of the calcium ion; and (4) being inhibited with phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride. The trypsin-like enzyme is produced by a Streptomyces omiyaensis 84A06 (FERM P-21453) strain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
