PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system capable of performing oil return at an appropriate timing, and an oil return control method of the air conditioning system. SOLUTION: In the air conditioning system which retains lubricant within a compressor and performs oil return control for returning the lubricant flowing to a refrigerant circuit by operation to the compressor 12, a microcomputer 100 determines a total discharge oil quantity by integrating the quantity of oil discharged from the compressor 12, and writes, when power supply is OFF, the total discharge oil quantity to a nonvolatile memory 101.
