摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure a magnetic field by a magnetoresistive element. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the magnetoresistive element which has a manganese oxide with a composition represented by one of general formulae R<SB>1-x</SB>A<SB>x</SB>MnO<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>2-2x</SB>A<SB>1+2x</SB>Mn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>7</SB>, or R<SB>1-x</SB>A<SB>1+x</SB>MnO<SB>4</SB>(R: an element which is one of rare earth, Bi and Y, A: an element which is one of alkaline earth metal elements, and x: &gt;0 to &lt;1). The manganese oxide has a composition which increases in resistivity when the temperature rises or a composition which decreases in resistivity, and a bias current or bias voltage is used.
