The ring (1) has an annular body (2) comprising a strip-shaped friction lining (3) on an inner surface (4). Two ends (8) of the friction lining are located separately in a circumferential direction (6). The friction lining is attached to the ring body by multiple welding spots (10) separated from each other in the circumferential direction. The ends of the friction lining has end edges (12) inclined with respect to an axial direction, so that an end zone (9) comprises a round tip projecting in the circumferential direction.
