A unitary protection and carrier frame 1 for attachment to the rear carrier and tow bar of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) comprising a rear section 2 and two side sections 3; the rear section 1 having a frame which when attached extends substantially horizontally the full width of the rear side of the ATV, and extends substantially vertically from a height above the level of a seated riders head down to the level of the ATV tow bar for attachment to the tow bar; wherein the two side sections 3 extend substantially perpendicular to the rear section 2 and when attached extend substantially along the sides of the carrier frame substantially perpendicular to the rear side of the ATV. The rear section frame 2 comprises elongated parallel bars and an arched shape. The protection and carrier frame 1 allows a rider in event of a side or backwards roll-over to escape from under the upturned ATV without being trapped beneath or sustaining the full weight of the ATV |
