PURPOSE: An image recording device of a black box for a vehicle is provided to record images for a long time in parking by selectively using a data storage device according to a driving mode and a parking mode and varying an image recording method. CONSTITUTION: An image recording device of a black box for a vehicle comprises a driving signal generating unit (101), a control unit (104), an image processing unit (106), a memory selection unit (107), and a first and a second SD memory slot (108,110). The driving signal generating unit generates a driving signal to determine whether the vehicle is driven or not. The control unit determines a driving mode and a parking mode based on a driving signal generated in the driving signal generation unit. The control unit generates an image processing control signal and a memory selection signal according to the determined mode. The image processing unit processes images obtained by a camera (105) according to the image processing control signal generated in the control unit by separating the images with image qualities. The memory selection unit selects a storage path of the images outputted from the image processing unit according to the memory selection signal generated in the control unit. The first and the second SD memory slot selectively stores the images, which are outputted through the storage path of the images selected by the memory selection unit, in either a first SD memory card (109) or a second SD memory card (111).
