PURPOSE: A video filming method for a camera device and a device thereof are provided to play or editing a video by logging both filming information and thumbnail images during filming the video and using the logged filming information and the logged thumbnail images. CONSTITUTION: When a camera unit films images, an image processing unit obtains frame images of the images and generates compressed display images, compressed images, and filming information at a frame (1211,1213). The application processing unit individually buffers the display images, the compressed images, and the filming information and displays the display image through a display unit. The application processing unit generates the filming information by adding 'filming information obtained through a sensor unit' to the filming information and buffers the filming information to a buffer (1215). The application processing unit encodes the display images through moving picture experts group (MPEG) codec (1217).
