<p>An apparatus for cleaning the inner surface of a well bore tubular comprises a body having an axis and an axial bore 10b through the body, suitable for connection into a tool string for use in a well bore tubular. The apparatus includes a cleaning device 31, a stabiliser 21 and typically a junk catcher 50 arranged on the outer surface of the body. The stabiliser 21 is adapted to resist radial compression and is rotatably mounted on the body. The junk catcher 50 includes a chamber 53 for receiving particulate matter suspended in a fluid and is arranged to agitate the contents of the chamber, possibly using an impeller (156, fig 21) by relative rotation of portions of the chamber 53. The stabiliser may be rotationally mounted on bearings on the body. The stabiliser 21 has an arrangement of blades 22 that extend outwardly from the body. The stabiliser 21 can typically have at least one magnetic device 26 to attract and retain ferrous metal particles.</p> |
