A support device supports a movable body 15 in such a manner that the movable body can be adjusted in angle by an angle adjustment mechanism 14 attachable to an upper portion of a leg, a long support body 17 is held slidably in the longitudinal direction by the movable body 15, and on the tip end side of the long support body 17, a supported body mounting portion 16 to which a supported body such as a camera platform or a camera is mounted is provided. An operation tube 18 for angle adjustment operations is fitted to the long support body 17 from the side opposite to the supported body mounting portion 16 of the long support body 17, and this operation tube 18 is threadedly fitted and connected to the movable body 15. By threadedly advancing the operation tube 18, arm portions 66 and 67 of a pair of holding bodies 23 are compressed by the rotating body surfaces 62 and 64 of one pressing portion 63 and the other pressing portion 65 to deform slits 24 in a direction to close, and tilting shaft hole portions 25 are reduced in diameter and deformed to fix the angle adjustment mechanism 14. The operability can be improved by the operation tube 18. |
