PURPOSE: A magnetron improves the output efficiency of the magnetron by improving a structure of an antenna to which a microwave is outputted in a polygonal cross-sectional shape. CONSTITUTION: A magnetron includes an antenna lead and an antenna (8). The antenna lead guides a high-frequency electric field oscillated from the inside to the outside. The antenna is formed on the end part of the antenna lead and protrudes to the outside. An antenna support pipe (52) accommodates the antenna lead and the antenna, and the cross section of one end part is formed in a polygonal shape in the axial direction. An antenna cap is combined with the end part of the antenna support pipe in the axial direction and accommodates the antenna protruding from the antenna support pipe inside. |
