PURPOSE: A power management system and a method capable of using a zigbee are provided to do the zigbee communication and perform the power management for each electrical machine by the power usage amount. CONSTITUTION: A power management system using the zigbee network comprises a smart socket (10), a monitoring device (20), and an operating server (30). The smart socket measures the power usage amount of the electrically connected electrical machine and performs the data communication by using the built-in zigbee modem. The monitoring device forms a plurality of smart socket and the zigbee network, receives the power usage amount data from the smart socket, and displays the information about the power usage amount for each electrical machine. An operation server receives the power usage amount data from the monitoring device and stores the data.
