PURPOSE: An emergency call making method of a mobile terminal and a device are provided to make an emergency call to a phone number in the contacts list which is separately set up by a user when an emergency call should be made from a lock screen. CONSTITUTION: A memory (30) stores an emergency contact number. A display unit (50) includes a touch screen. A wireless transmitting and receiving unit (23) provides a function of making a call. If an emergency call is requested when the touch screen is locked, a control unit (10) directs the display unit to indicate at least one button out of all buttons which correspond to a keypad or an emergency contact number display.
